  After a rough week of predictably unpredictable Whistler weather, the clouds parted ways and let it rain sunshine on the main event at Kokanee Crankworx: The Red Bull Joyride Slopestyle.


  This year's event saw record crowds pony up for a chance to witness freeride reinvented once again.





  I guess we know who Brad Ewen was gunning for.


  This year's course, designed and built by local legend and true trail pioneer Paddy Kaye was tuned in to what it's all about...big and bad-ass. Thanks Paddy.


  This snowboard sender was my favorite feature. I think it had something to do with air, and a lot of it. Lacondeguy sends one out to your girlfriend.


  Gully, same hit, different style.




  Greg Watts always impresses the shit out of me.

  The Claw, three'ing it out for the finish.

  The crowds were all time.


  I really like Tyler McCaul's throw caution to the wind style. Plus, he's always smiling.


  Lacondeguy just f'n goes for it...no matter the consequence. He bailed pretty hard off this one. Not enough to hurt him, but enough to knock him down to eleventh place.


  Life at the Pinkbike tent was all Redbull girls and fun fun fun, until the police came and decided it was too much fun.


  Another young BMX'r about to tear the Mountain Bike world a new ass. Anthony Messere. Kind of reminds me of The Claw when he came on the scene.


  Welcome to the party kid.


  Semenuk. Grabbing what's been rightfully his for a long time.


  Nice one. Now you get to tell Tippie what it's like to win the big one.


  Semenuk, Zink, and the new guy.


  It was a short ride to get here, but it's going to be a long, hard, painfull way to the top.


  Good luck and don't believe the hype.

 i hate how everyone is like "the unknown new kid anthony messere"
we all knew he was a beast, and that he would make his mark on the freeride scene.
we just didnt see it coming this SOON.

 I'm happy to see the photos came out nice from the helecopter because it was extreamly annoying having it flying over the coarse

 @rampagerules i agree about the whole new kid....but no one new he would even ride mountain....hes dj'd for a while but he allways bmx'd

 Wow Margus, nice work from the Heli man! The event couldn't have gone any better - the weather, riders and crowd were all sick this year - Congrats Brandon.

 Awsome pics, even though i missed a couple huge tricks lookin up at that damn heli all the time, all in all, beautiful day, crowd was electric and the riders were nailing it.

 the party doesn't start till the cops show up, they bring all the pepper spray and tazer guns, you haven't lived until u get tazered chugging a pitcher of beer, and just think of all the riot gear in the trunk of the squad car, that stuff will fetch a pretty penny on pb buy and sell, just click on armour!!!!
