Red Bull Rampage - Last day of practice

The Red Bull Rampage may be the burliest event of its kind in the entire world.

I'd like to start this year's Red Bull Rampage with a quote from my favorite movie, Blade Runner - "Wake up, time to die."

Yeah, mmm, no. Not sure I like the vibe of this year's Rampage. I get the feeling someone's going to get hurt - bad. Not what I want to see from these athletes. Entertain me, sure. Progress big mountain/slopstyle, sure. Let's see what gives.

Stop writing about the negative and concentrate on the positive. Don't need to be putting neg vibes out there. No one wants to here the D word.

hey there's always a chance every year someone will get hurt. there have always been stunts on course where someone could get really f*cked up. but don't be puttin on bad vibes for the riders because let's just all hope they slay and walk away.

That is a flesh wound! Granted it looks fairly nasty, but in a battle hundreds of years ago he could easly carry on fighting with it, which is where the term comes from. Anything more than a flesh wound would incapacitate the casualty, i.e. head injury, broken bones. That aside, didnt you detect the hint of irony there.

Will someone explain to me the logic behind not wearing your elbow pads /full gear on things like redbull rampage? A good way to get hurt and rip up your skin and only increase recovery time. If you plan to go big, I would expect that you armor up a bit more...

flag WAKIdesigns (Oct 1, 2010 at 12:18)
all it requires is a poor rider and a tree, eventualy a short jump built by a poor builder jumped by a poor rider doing sideways nose dive. Now in case of such good riders like these it takes some error in art and really huge jumps - wait they have'em there!
  • + 1
flag spaced (Oct 1, 2010 at 14:18)
Though first reviews of the ultimate wheelset arent stellar. I also remember some of the heavier pros complaining on them (though off camera Wink ) Actualy any 2kg dh wheelset is a bit risky, especialy for an event like rampage.
